Hi, I’m Gina, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor and the owner of August Woods Wellness. I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and major life transitions.
My approach is collaborative and trauma informed, focused on creating a safe and supportive space to explore your experiences and move toward healing. I primarily use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help process distressing memories that may be influencing current thoughts, emotions, or relationship patterns in unhelpful ways. I also use modalities like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to provide practical strategies for changing how you show up for yourself and the world.
I aim to hold space for curiosity, reflection, and the possibility of seeing yourself and your story with new understanding.
